How do I wash heavyweight cotton fleece sweatpants?

Cold wash, inside out, gentle cycle, then dry flat or tumble on low. Heat is what shrinks heavyweight cotton and flattens the brushed inside face. Close both zippers before washing so the teeth do not catch on the fleece.
